Yoga Therapist, Katlin Robinson, takes a peek inside the first three chapters of The Energetic Fertility Method™: Tools for a Healthy Conception and Beyond. Here’s what Katlin had to say about the beginning of the book and how it applies to her personal and professional life.
“As I read the first three chapters of Nancy’s forthcoming book, The Energetic Fertility Method™: Tools for a Healthy Conception and Beyond, I was overwhelmed with joy at the thought that so many women dealing with fertility issues will have access to this powerful tool for healing. I wish I had had this as I walked the road of infertility. My healing didn’t fully begin until about seven and a half years ago after my five-year battle with infertility ended with the birth of my daughter.
I had a dedicated yoga practice for about three years before I started trying to conceive. Instinctively, I knew that there was healing in this ancient practice but it wasn’t until after Ella was born that I was ready to dive fully into the muck. I have spent most of the last seven years exploring healing methods, applying them to my own process, and now helping other women to heal in my practice as a Yoga Therapist. I strongly believe that with a guide like Nancy I would have felt supported enough to start the process of healing well before I did.
The thing about infertility is that it creates new “muck” – trauma, wounds – even when you’ve made it through. That energy is now part of the baggage I carry. What I love about this guide that Nancy has created – and will soon be sharing later this year – is that the practices are universal. Of course it’s geared towards fertility, but this energy work can be applied to almost anyone seeking self-healing.
In my practice as a Yoga Therapist I specialize in helping women regain vitality — vitality that is zapped from stress, from life being too busy and not having time for self-care, from illness, and from past trauma. In general, this crazy culture we live in can wreak havoc on the mind, body, and spirit. This is all “stuff” that disrupts our natural harmony. It leads to issues – including fertility issues – affects our health on many levels, and creates other dis-ease. The practices that Nancy has developed can be applied almost universally to my clients, regardless of the specific issues they are facing.
Along my healing path Nancy’s book is like a missing link that now will allow me to continue my journey towards wellbeing.
Eat strawberries to help balance the first chakra
Eat cherries to help balance the first chakra
The first three chapters of Nancy’s book were a reminder to cultivate a “grounding” practice that can be done each day. These include nourishing the first chakra with bright reds. What a fruitful time of year it is for nourishing the first chakra! If you’re trying to get pregnant or want life to feel more vibrant and luscious, I can think of nothing more perfect than the sweet red berries and fruit that are in season. What could be sweeter than a prescription of strawberries and cherries?”
