Claire Gillenson works with animals and their companions. She describes herself as “a human bridge between you and your pets.” Claire says, “Some times we can put human emotions on to our pets. We feel guilty and then the pet knows. We can project a lot of what we are able to or not able to provide onto the pet. The pet does not have a way to communicate back. This is what I can help with.” Claire’s work with pets is collaborative and “there is a lot of heart in it. I can be a support to those who have a sick pet and it can change the euthanasia experience so that it is more peaceful and honoring of the good bye.” Claire can check in with the pet to see what it would like.
Claire is also a life coach and helps “people to open their hearts to different possibilities after a loss.” Claire says, “After a loss we lose how to let our heart sing.” People who have been “on the boat of grief for a long time and are ready to get off the boat and don’t know how” are the clients that Claire works with. It is helping these people get to “good” or “great” that propels Claire in her career.
Deepening her intuition is important to Claire. This journey began ten years ago when she was working as a creative director at a design firm. Her dog died and this was the impetus for leading her on a spiritual journey. When she comes from her intuitive space she knows she’s in her heart and not her head. Meditation, chakra clearings, grounding and similar practices help Claire tap into her intuition.
Claire believes “we all have [intuitive] abilities when we get into that quiet space.” She says, “By quieting down, letting go of judgment and replacing anger with love, you can go back and see where you are.”
To help foster your own intuition Claire offers the following suggestions. Spend time with yourself. Sit and be with ALL of your experiences, whether comfortable or uncomfortable. Put yourself first. Bathe yourself in love. Get comfortable with not knowing.
