Interview with Tabitha Jayne – Working with inspirational women to create inspirational lives and businesses in a nature-connected way
Tabitha Jayne has been a coach since 2010. Originally working in the field of grief helping people who were affected by the death of a loved one, her coaching practice has transformed from its origins of grief coaching to “working with inspirational women to create inspirational lives in a nature-connected way.”
After much work in the field of grief and loss, including publishing a book on the topic, Tabitha Jayne received guidance from her intuition to discontinue work in this area. She then stepped into a place of “not knowing what to do next.” This included discontinuing working with clients in order to allow what she does now to come to fruition.
As Tabitha Jayne said in our interview, “Sometimes our intuition goes against what we think we should be doing. So it requires a deep level of trust. Amazing things happen much more effortlessly when you follow your intuition.”
From an intuitive space you accept “sometimes it seems nothing is happening. Then things start to come together.”
“The Tree of Transformation” is a process Tabitha Jayne discovered to help her clients move through the grief process. This process was developed intuitively during her Msc in Applied Ecopsychology by connecting with nature, and trees in particular.
Step 1 is to identify your tree. Step two is about roots and grounding. Step three brings you to the trunk of the tree and your emotions. Step 4 is about the branches of the tree and your purpose and values. Step 5 is about the leaves and looking at communication with yourself and others. And lastly, it’s about the fruit and honoring the gifts we bring to the world.
Tabitha Jayne enjoys connecting with nature as a way to enhance her intuition.
She offers this advice for readers who want to enhance their own intuitive capacity. “Start small!” Intuition “is like a muscle. The more you exercise it, the stronger it gets. Ask, What way do I go to work? What food do I buy at the super market?” The more you come from a relaxed space, the more easily accessible is your intuition.
“When you are stressed, it is your mind that tells you things. Nature can help you reduce stress and help you connect with your senses even more. Feel the wind on your skin; hear the birds sing; see the fly in the sky. These all bring us more into the present moment. The only way to get to intuition is through being in your body.”
